Covered Bridge Festival

October 9-18, 2015
The Covered Bridge Festival is the pride and joy of Parke County. The Festival, which is the 2nd Friday in October, features a wide array of festivities that highlight the region’s beauty, culture, and amazing people. The Covered Bridge Festival is a great way to welcome the fall season and what better way to start fresh than with good food, shopping, antiquing, and art.

Established in 1957 on the lawn of the Rockville, Indiana courthouse, the Covered Bridge Festival is hosted by numerous long-running, non-profit organizations in Parke County who use the profits from the festival to fund their activities and promote future projects.

The festival consists of vendors, crafters, and entertainers showcasing their work for the public and accentuating the many gems of the Parke County, Indiana region. From handcrafted goods like food, toys, home decor, to the beautiful pieces of art displayed at the Covered Bridge Art Gallery, your schedule can loaded with endless fun and inspiration.

The Covered Bridge Festival always falls on a weekend, which makes it the perfect opportunity for campers to visit Turkey Run Campground for a weekend getaway with friends, family, coworkers, and church members. Festivities and shopping is available starting at 9am and can last all day, giving visitors from all throughout Central Indiana the chance to immerse themselves in Parke County’s most popular annual festival. more info >>

Maple Fair

February 27-28 & March 5-6, 2016
At winter’s end, Parke County’s Maple Syrup Producers begin tapping the maple trees that provide sugar water for making maple syrup. Join in on the fun the last weekend of February and the first weekend of March at the Parke County Maple Syrup Fair™. Travel country roads with world famous covered bridges and tour maple syrup camps throughout the county. See how maple syrup is made down at the “sugar camp” and sample its wonderful flavor.

Bridgeton County Christmas

Last full weekend in November & first weekend in December
Fresh Stone Ground Products for your holidays, Parke County Products, Amish Products, and more at the Bridgeton Mill. The 1878 House, Case Log Cabin (1822) and the 1878 Barn will be decorated for Christmas and full of gifts and exhibitors. Plus other fine shops will be open in downtown Bridgeton. more info >>

Annual Southern Indiana Vintage Camper Rally

With family-friendly entertainment, a large display of uniquely-designed vintage campers, and boundless opportunities to explore the Southern Indiana landscape, the Annual Southern Indiana Vintage Camper Rally is the place to be during the summer.

The Annual Southern Indiana Vintage Camper Rally takes place at Fowler Park in Terre Haute, Indiana in Vigo County. First organized in 2009, the rally features a wide variety of tent campers, motor homes, and vintage trailers of all sizes, shapes, and manufacturing quality.

The campers showcase has become a widely-praised spectacle, drawing in attendees and participants from all over the midwest. Quite often event participants are involved in similar events all over the country. The Vintage Camper Rally is also a great attraction for local residents because they get free admission. The event is hosted by Erin and Roger Dulin, both longtime RV camping aficionados.

Conveniently located in Parke County, right next door to Vigo County.
